A flakey pastry turnover stuffed with mashed potatoes, cheese & onion. Possibly one of my favorite foods and certainly one of my absolute favorite recipes from the long-closed Daily Bread Bakery in Richmond.
Served with roasted broccoli

SOUP OF THE WEEK
Chili con Elote
with Grated Cheddar & Noah’s Cornbread
A rich combination of beans, tomatoes, and sweet corn, this vegetarian chili is perfect for a late winter evening.
Served with shredded cheddar and cornbread from a recipe developed by my brother when he was in high school, this maple sweetened and buttery cornbread is a perfect accompaniment to a big bowl of chili.
